Upgrade Firmware Sierra 875U to 7,2 Mbps

This modem is very stubborn, because it had long aq modem use. Through this blog I want to share the experience for my friends who use this modem SIERRA 875U.
My modem can not be in use with 2G network mode.
One day I iseng2 to change it to 2G mode, and after that my modem directly error and can not be used because it kept restarting. wow, I guess my modem is damaged. Then my uncle search on “google” firmware for this modem, in hopes of degan upgrade this modem can be used again. I have long been looking for the firmware is not also find it. until now I find it (already looking for more than 2 months).

Please note that the Sierra 875U didevice manager detected as MC8775 finally through google see also firmware with Firmware keywords MC8775.

The following instructions will allow you to upgrade your MC8775 from 3.6Mbps to 7.2Mbps rate. Before you start your upgrade, please ensure the following:

*The first step install the sierra watcher generic drivers so that devices can be detected.
*your laptop / computer must be connected to AC power
*Please close all active applications.
*Make sure that you have about 30 minutes to complete the upgrade so that no damage to your MC8775

1.Download 1. link its and extract this file to a folder of your choice.

2. Download the firmware you want and extract both. Cwe files to a folder of your choice
3.Open the folder where you double click BinUpdater.exe diekstraksi.kemudian
4.Click “OK” to select the first file to update and browse to the directoy where you have extracted the firmware file.
5.First Flash it first with MC8775QCOM_H2.0.8.0.cwe.
6.When finished close BinUpdater.exe, then open again now BinUpdater.exe flashkan with MC8775_H2.0.8.19.cwe.
7.Once both files have been successful, click “OK” to close the tool update and reboot your system.
8. Now open the “help> about> Firmware”, where the new firmware version is displayed.
“DONE”
Your modem has been upgraded with firmware 7.2Mbps
and until now I’ve 7.2Mbps modem and still can not run on 2G network.
But what’s the problem though. 3G use it faster and stable
